Softball Recap: South Garland Takes a Loss

South Garland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 19-4 to the Rowlett Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in February.

South Garland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenda Blanco, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Blanco also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.

South Garland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Rowlett, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Garland is set to face off against their familiar foe Garland at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Rowlett will challenge rival Naaman Forest at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
