Baseball Recap: Trezevant Has No Trouble Against Douglass

Trezevant's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Douglass Red Devils as they made off with a 14-3 victory. Considering the Bears have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Trezevant got a massive performance out of Jaden Ivey, who scored two runs and stole six bases while going 2-for-2. Ivey has become a key player for the Bears: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Zavion Evans, who scored two runs and stole five bases while going 1-for-2.

Trezevant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Trezevant's win bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Douglass, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
