Volleyball Game Preview: Mead Raiders vs. Boys Town Cowboys

Mead is a perfect 10-0 against Boys Town since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will square off against the Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mead lost 3-0 to Elmwood-Murdock on Thursday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mead took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Mead had strong showings from Olivia Lee, who had 15 digs, and Lauren Miller, who had eight digs. Lee is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Boys Town came up short against Cedar Bluffs on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-9, 25-16.

Boys Town's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Mead beat Boys Town 2-0 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Cowboys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
