Basketball Recap: Warren County Takes a Loss

Warren County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 65-33 defeat at the hands of the White County Warriors. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.

White County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Winningham, who went 8 of 14 en route to 20 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Ava Jones, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 15 points in addition to eight blocks and seven boards.

Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for White County, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Warren County will square off against Columbia Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 65-44 victory against Wilson Central on the 7th.
