After a string of four wins, Van Alstyne's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to the Muenster Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while the Hornets are ranked 188th).

Van Alstyne's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Muenster, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-5.

Van Alstyne will host Aubrey at 1:15 p.m. on Friday. Van Alstyne is facing Aubrey at the right time seeing as Aubrey is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Muenster, they will venture away from home to face off against Alvord at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
