Softball Recap: Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Comes Up Short

Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville was the 9-7 winner over Schoharie when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves fell just short of the Storm by a score of 9-8 on Wednesday.

Taylor Hayes led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Hazzard, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Schoharie, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-6.

Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-2 victory against Northville on the 8th. As for Schoharie, they have also already played their next game, a 30-2 win against Middleburgh on the 8th.
