Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Smithfield-Selma). They put the hurt on the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs with a sharp 6-1 victory on Wednesday. With Smithfield-Selma ahead 3-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Southeast Raleigh from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Christopher Turcios led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

With the win, Smithfield-Selma broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-6-1. As for Southeast Raleigh, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-1.

Coming up, Smithfield-Selma is taking a road trip to take on Triton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeast Raleigh, they will host Cleveland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
