Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Melanie Hermes and Jadyn Schmidt Lead Elbert to Victory

Elbert won the last time they faced Bethune and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bobcats.

Leading Elbert to victory were Jadyn Schmidt and Melanie Hermes. Schmidt had 15 assists and three aces, while Hermes had eight digs and two aces. Those 15 assists gave Schmidt a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Elbert was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethune only served five aces.

Elbert now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bethune, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Elbert has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against South Park on the 23rd. As for Bethune, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Centennial on the 23rd.
