Basketball Game Preview: Piney Woods Tornadoes vs. Northeast Lauderdale Trojans + How To Watch

The Piney Woods Tornadoes are taking a road trip to square off against the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piney Woods will be strutting in after a victory while Northeast Lauderdale will be coming in after a loss.

Piney Woods took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They walked away with a 47-34 win over Port Gibson. The Tornadoes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Piney Woods found their leader in sophomore Maria-Tiffany Kengni, who posted 29 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Kengni has scored at least a third of the Tornadoes' points. Another player making a difference was Abigaelle Kouryana, who put up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Northeast Lauderdale was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 45-44 to Louisville. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.

Piney Woods' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Northeast Lauderdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-1.
