Baseball Recap: Taos Tigers vs. Los Alamos Hilltoppers
Taos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to the Los Alamos Hilltoppers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hilltoppers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-8 on Monday.
Taos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sonny Abeyta, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Taos' loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Los Alamos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Taos is set to square off against their familiar foe Moriarty at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Los Alamos will take on rival Pojoaque Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
