Volleyball Recap: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Kempsville Chiefs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Great Bridge can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Kempsville Chiefs on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

While Great Bridge ultimately came up short, they really made Kempsville work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25, 21-25, 25-19.

Quinn Riley had an outrageously good game for Kempsville as he had 20 digs.

Great Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Kempsville, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

Great Bridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kempsville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Indian River on the 6th.
