After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bath County, West Jessamine was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mercy Jaguars by a score of 8-5.

Michaela Tate was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Paige Hobgood was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Emerson Collins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

West Jessamine lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

West Jessamine's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-14. As for Mercy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-13.
