Manzano hasn't had much luck against La Cueva recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Manzano Monarchs will be staying on the road to face off against the La Cueva Bears at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, La Cueva faced Santa Fe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. La Cueva's defense stepped up to hand Santa Fe a 7-0 shutout. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.
Their offense was hitting Santa Fe from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.
Manzano now has a losing record at 6-7. As for La Cueva, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2-1.
