Football Recap: Gowanda/Pine Valley Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Silver Creek/Forestville Central last Friday, Gowanda/Pine Valley Central came back down to earth. The Panthers were beaten by the Wilson Lakemen 56-22 on Friday. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gowanda/Pine Valley Central fell to 2-1. As for Wilson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gowanda/Pine Valley Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Allegany-Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wilson will take on rival Silver Creek/Forestville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
