Baseball Game Preview: West Trojans vs. Whitney Wildcats

The West Trojans will head out to square off against the Whitney Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Last Saturday, neither West nor Riesel could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 tie.

Meanwhile, Whitney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-1 to Boyd. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 22, 2024.

West's tie makes their record 7-3-1 this season. As for Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

West beat Whitney 5-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for West since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
