Lake Orion's loss ends three-game winning streak at home

Recap: Lake Orion Dragons vs. West Bloomfield Lakers

After a string of seven wins, the Lake Orion Dragons's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by West Bloomfield 74-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Orion has scored all season.

Summer Davis was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with six steals and five assists for West Bloomfield. Davis is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendall Hendrix, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five steals.

Lake Orion's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-1. As for West Bloomfield, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Orion will take on Clarkston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Clarkston is ranked 34th, while Lake Orion is ranked 25th). West Bloomfield on the road again on Friday and play against Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Oxford is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
