Thompson had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Prattville on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Thompson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Prattville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Thompson will have a chance to go back-to-back against Prattville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
