Soccer Game Preview: South Miami vs. Homestead

The South Miami Cobras will head out on the road to square off against the Homestead Broncos at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, South Miami turned things around against Westland Hialeah on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Wildcats out 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Cobras were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Homestead). They put the hurt on Edison with a sharp 9-2 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Homestead and bumps their season record up to 7-1-3. As for South Miami, their record is now 4-8-1.

South Miami might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Homestead in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can South Miami avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
