Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Banning's Third in Last Four Outings

San Jacinto came into Monday's match looking for another win against Banning, but Junior Dunahoo wouldn't allow it. The Banning Broncos enjoyed a cozy 71-56 win over the San Jacinto Tigers on Monday thanks in part to Dunahoo, who posted 24 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, San Jacinto still got an impressive performance from De'Sean Gilmore, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylen Love, who put up six points and six rebounds.

Banning is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for San Jacinto, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Banning has already played their next contest, a 67-46 victory against Cathedral City on the 14th. As for San Jacinto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-46 defeat against Temescal Canyon on the 15th.
