The Somerville Pioneers will venture away from home to challenge the Watchung Hills Regional Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Somerville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Aidan Vesuvio-Bush continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 288 yards and three scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 80 receiving yards. Those 80 receiving yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Justin Bowen, who gained 95 total yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Somerville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Watchung Hills Regional ended up a good deal behind Elizabeth on Friday and lost 28-14. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Watchung Hills Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Somerville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything came up roses for Somerville against Watchung Hills Regional in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-7 win. In that matchup, the Pioneers amassed a halftime lead of 33-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
