Football Game Preview: Lawrence County Bulldogs vs. Rockcastle County Rockets + How To Watch

The Lawrence County Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Rockcastle County Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lawrence County sitting on seven straight victories and Rockcastle County on four.

Lawrence County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past McCreary Central 35-7. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Raiders are ranked 138th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Luke Fetherolf produced another solid performance throwing for 231 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing, while also rushing for 31 yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September.

Lawrence County's run defense was locked in: McCreary Central could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The Bulldogs didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.2.

Meanwhile, Rockcastle County humbled Estill County with a 41-8 victory. The Rockets pushed the score to 35-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Engineers had little chance of recovering from.

Lawrence County better keep an eye on Hunter Pingleton. He was instrumental in Rockcastle County's win, rushing for 131 yards and a pair of TDs. They also got help from Isaiah Jackson, who showed off his sure hands for 110 receiving yards.

Rockcastle County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jackson and Brayden Thacker.

Lawrence County's record now sits at 10-1. As for Rockcastle County, their record is now an identical 10-1.
