Recap: Hanover vs. Colorado School for the Deaf Blind

After having lost a blowout to Stratton/Liberty in their previous game, Hanover were happy to find some success on Thursday. Hanover took the contest and then some with a 69-31 victory over Colorado School for the Deaf Blind. That result was just more of the same for Hanover, who also won the last time these teams played.

Hanover got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Colorado School for the Deaf Blind and cruised to a 42-point first half. Colorado School for the Deaf Blind came up with 12 to make it 42-12 heading into the break. The Hanover defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 6 and all but finishing the match.

No one put up better numbers for Hanover than senior Dorian Pillsbury, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns. Senior Andrew Morris was in the mix, too, providing Hanover with 2 touchdowns. The win bumped their record up to 2-1. Colorado School for the Deaf Blind are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.

Hanover are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Genoa-Hugo next week at 2:00 PM. As for Colorado School for the Deaf Blind, they will face off against Walsh.
