Basketball Game Preview: Lexington Christian Eagles vs. Harrison County Thorobreds

The Lexington Christian Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Harrison County Thorobreds at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lexington Christian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Lafayette just ended the team's six-game winning streak last Monday. They fell to the Generals 51-45.

Meanwhile, Harrison County ended up a good deal behind Nicholas County on Tuesday and lost 61-43.

Lexington Christian's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4. As for Harrison County, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-7.

Lexington Christian and Harrison County were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2016, but Lexington Christian came up empty-handed after a 50-49 defeat. Can Lexington Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
