Ivan Hernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Hernandez wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Herrera, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Brackenridge's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Edison on Friday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Burbank's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Brackenridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Brackenridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Burbank hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. It's a different story for Brackenridge, though, as they've only averaged .217. Will they be able to contain Burbank's hitters?
