Soccer Game Preview: Pac-Five vs. Kamehameha Kapalama

The Pac-Five Wolfpack will head out to challenge the Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Pac-Five is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: 'Iolani, who was ranked third at the time (Pac-Five was ranked 23rd). 2025 welcomed Pac-Five with a 4-0 loss courtesy of 'Iolani on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Kamehameha Kapalama hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They put the hurt on St. Louis with a sharp 5-0 victory. Considering the Warriors have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kamehameha Kapalama's win bumped their record up to 5-0-1. As for Pac-Five, they now have a losing record at 2-3-1.

Pac-Five came up short against Kamehameha Kapalama when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Pac-Five avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
