Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Heritage Christian waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 57-52 W against the Park Tudor Panthers. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Heritage Christian found their leader in freshman Riley Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. Elyse Snively was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points.

Heritage Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Heritage Christian's record is now 6-2. As for Park Tudor, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian will welcome Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Park Tudor, they will take on Warren Central in a tournament on the 11th.
