Basketball Recap: Douglass Takes a Loss

Douglass was the 58-50 winner over Luella when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Douglass Astros took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Luella Lions on Tuesday.

Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Luella, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglass will take on Stone Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Douglass knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Stone Mountain likes a good challenge. As for Luella, they will square off against Cedar Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Luella comes in on four and Cedar Grove on 13.
