The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

Kyliee Trouten and Gracie Gerhardt did most of the damage at the plate: Trouten went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Gerhardt went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave Trouten a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paisley Conley, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Watkins Memorial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northridge only posted an OBP of .111.
Meanwhile, Zanesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Utica, falling 19-0.
Watkins Memorial pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Zanesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
Zanesville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Watkins Memorial hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. It's a different story for Zanesville, though, as they've only averaged .083. Will they be able to contain Watkins Memorial's hitters?
