Baseball Game Preview: Biggsville West Central Heat vs. Princeville Princes

The Biggsville West Central Heat are taking a road trip to face off against the Princeville Princes at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Biggsville West Central is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Biggsville West Central came up short against Bureau Valley on Saturday, falling 17-5. That's two games in a row now that the Heat have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Biggsville West Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Vancil, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Princeville). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Bushnell-Prairie City a 14-0 shutout on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Princes.

Princeville's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Biggsville West Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Biggsville West Central suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Princeville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Heat avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
