Volleyball Recap: Forest Lake Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Forest Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Anoka Tornadoes 3-0 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Rangers have posted against the Tornadoes since September 5, 2019.

While Forest Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Anoka lost, don't look at Ava Lanasa. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and two aces. Lanasa is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Forest Lake pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Anoka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Forest Lake will head out to take on Mounds View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anoka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
