West Bloomfield saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They walked away with a 54-46 win over Lakeland. Given the Lakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Eagles are ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for St. Mary's Prep against Walled Lake Northern on Wednesday as the squad secured a 70-32 victory. The Eaglets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

West Bloomfield's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for St. Mary's Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.
