Basketball Recap: Green City's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 12

Green City put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 77-27 win over the Novinger Wildcats. Given the Gophers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Wildcats are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Green City pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Novinger, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green City will face off against Brashear at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Brashear's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Novinger, they will challenge La Plata at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
