Basketball Game Preview: Fort Scott Tigers vs. Labette County Grizzlies

The Fort Scott Tigers will head out to square off against the Labette County Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Fort Scott might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 68-42 to Independence, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Labette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 69-60 to Winfield.

Labette County's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Fort Scott, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for Fort Scott against Labette County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 60-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Scott since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
