Baseball Recap: Winfield Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Winfield was feeling good fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Ramsay on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Winfield fell just short of the Long Rebels by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Winfield's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6. As for Long, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield will challenge Jefferson City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Long, they will take on T.R. Miller at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
