Recap: Jefferson Davis County Jaguars vs. East Marion Eagles
There's no place like home for the Jefferson Davis County Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 62-45 victory over East Marion on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jefferson Davis County also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Donny Anderson, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Caden Mingo, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Jefferson Davis County's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for East Marion, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Jefferson Davis County will be playing at home against Hattiesburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Marion, they will head out on the road to face off against West Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Marion is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
