Texico won the last time they faced Jal and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Texico Wolverines came out on top against the Jal Panthers by a score of 51-39.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mayrin Nieto, who posted eight points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals. Nieto has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times she's played. Natalia Rivera was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Texico has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. Jal dropped their record down to 10-15 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Texico wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-33 defeat against Tatum on the 21st. As for Jal, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-22 win against Hagerman on the 21st.
