Basketball Recap: Scott Carswell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead School of the Ozarks over Billings

If School of the Ozarks was feeling good fresh off their 57-31 takedown of Lutie last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The School of the Ozarks Patriots came up short against the Billings Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 59-39. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

School of the Ozarks lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Scott Carswell, who went 5-for-9 en route to 10 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Briggs Wilhoit was another key player, putting up nine points.

School of the Ozarks' defeat dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Billings, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
