Community Baptist Christian came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Colonial Christian 77-47. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-16.

Community Baptist Christian was led to victory by Daviea Jones and Colton Aurand. Jones dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Aurand went 9-for-13 on his way to 25 points. Aurand is becoming a predictor of Community Baptist Christian's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 9-1 (and 3-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Titus Clifton, who posted ten points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Community Baptist Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They are a perfect 8-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Colonial Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Clayton Gannon and Andrew Sluder. Gannon dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten assists, while Sluder shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. Those 15 points gave Sluder a new career-high.

Community Baptist Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points over those games. As for Colonial Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Community Baptist Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 37-34 defeat against Heartland Christian on the 25th. As for Colonial Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-31 loss against Suburban Christian on the 25th.
