They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 victory over the Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted against the Pioneers since February 26, 2015.

Virginia High is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points over those games. Gate City's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11.
