Softball Recap: Ouachita Christian Comes Up Short

Ouachita Christian fell victim to Lakeside and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Lakeside Warriors. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2016.

Ouachita Christian dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lakeside, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Coming up, Ouachita Christian will face off against Ouachita Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ouachita Parish has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.86 runs per game on average), something Ouachita Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lakeside, they will take on Logansport at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Logansport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
