Basketball Recap: Eastlake Takes a Loss

If Eastlake was riding high fresh off their 59-26 takedown of Auburn Mountainview last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eastlake Wolves came up short against the Bothell Cougars on Wednesday, falling 76-53. The Wolves have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Charlotte Lipkin was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards for Bothell. Lipkin's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bailey Petrin, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 18 points.

Eastlake's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Bothell, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Eastlake has already played their next contest, a 66-45 victory against Mercer Island on the 10th. As for Bothell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-52 defeat against Woodinville on the 10th.
