Recap: Follett Panthers vs. McLean Tigers
The Follett Panthers can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 64-31 win over McLean. The victory was familiar territory for Follett who now have four in a row.
Follett was led to victory by Maddox Miller and David Meeks. Miller scored 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Meeks scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Meeks hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Bryan Torres, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
When it comes to explaining why McLean lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayvon Salazar. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with 16 rebounds and five steals. Salazar is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Steward, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Follett's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for McLean, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Follett will head out on the road to challenge Lefors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lefors is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. McLean will take on Fort Elliott at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
