Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Blue Devils vs. Clay Eagles

Springfield is 0-3 against Clay since December of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Springfield Blue Devils will welcome the Clay Eagles at 7:15 p.m.

On Friday, Springfield lost to Southview at home by a 59-43 margin. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while the Cougars are ranked 110th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clay, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Napoleon with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 69-55.

Clay now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
