Football Recap: Windber Ramblers vs. Juniata Valley Hornets
Windber was the 42-7 winner over Juniata Valley when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ramblers took a blow against the Hornets on Friday, falling 55-28. The Ramblers were down 43-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Several Ramblers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Mash, who rushed for 143 yards and a pair of TDs. Dylan Woodruff was another key player, rushing for 116 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries.
Andrew Clark had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 201 yards and four scores while picking up 11.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 76 receiving yards and one TD for Juniata Valley. That's the most rushing touchdowns Clark has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jett Rand, who threw for 222 yards and one touchdown on only 13 passes.
Windber has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Juniata Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
As of now, neither Windber nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
