Softball Recap: Asotin Panthers vs. Colfax Bulldogs
Asotin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the Colfax Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Asotin of the 12-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Kierra Nielson put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. Nielson was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Cady Browne was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Asotin's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Colfax, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
