On Saturday, Junipero Serra earned a 3-1 win over Valley Christian. Given the Padres' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Warriors are ranked 718th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Junipero Serra hit Valley Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lucas Faggiolly, Quincy Huang, and Nate Coughlin.

Meanwhile, Saint Francis' game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of St. Ignatius College Preparatory by a score of 3-2.

Junipero Serra is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. As for Saint Francis, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
