Softball Recap: Line Mountain Gets the Win

Line Mountain came out on top against Halifax on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Eagles skirted past the Wildcats 8-6. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Line Mountain let Koera Leitzel and Ellie Motter run wild. Leitzel went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Motter went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those two hits gave Motter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateyah Teter, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Line Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Halifax, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Line Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Halifax has already played their next match (against Big Spring), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
