Wayne County posted their closest win since February 27th on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gautier Gators, sneaking past 4-2. The War Eagles haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Olivia Sims, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Annah Carr was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Wayne County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gautier struck out eight times.
