Basketball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Takes a Loss

Purdue Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 86-61 to the Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders. The Techies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-25.

Despite the loss, Purdue Polytechnic still got an impressive performance from TJ Williams, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 11 boards. Williams has become a key player for the Techies: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 5-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Blondel Martin, who posted seven points.

Purdue Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Purdue Polytechnic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 88-65 loss against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks on the 21st. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they will face off against Herron at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
