Football Recap: Cooper Falls Short Against Ranked Highlands

Cooper faced Highlands in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Jaguars received a blow as they fell 28-14 to the Bluebirds. Surprisingly, this marked the Jaguars' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Tayden Lorenzen was a one-man wrecking crew For Highlands. as he rushed for 90 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Lorenzen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rio Litmer, who threw for 180 yards and one touchdown.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Highlands, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
